Ordering
How do I order?
Open a trade account. I approve accounts by hand, usually within one business day. Then sign in, add fabrics and send your request. I reply with a confirmed quote within one business day.
When do I pay?
When you approve your quote. Nothing is charged or cut before that.
Are memos free?
Yes. Memos are complimentary and ship from Spain with Riera’s tech sheet.
Is there a minimum order?
No. Order as little as you need.
Can I return fabric?
No. Every order is cut or made for you, so all sales are final. Request a memo first to check the color.
What is the lead time?
In stock, or about three weeks to weave. Your quote confirms the delivery date.
What does shipping cost?
About $1.85 a yard from Spain, $20 minimum. Import duties are estimated at 15% of the fabric value, plus customs brokerage of about $22.50 per shipment. Your quote shows the delivered total, so nothing is due on arrival.
Where should I ship it?
A studio or workroom. UPS adds a surcharge for deliveries to homes.
Can Riera make pillows or window treatments?
Yes, to your measurements. See made to order.
The fabric
Does the fabric shrink?
About 8% the first time it gets wet. Prewash before fabrication, or allow extra yardage for anything washable. See fabric care.
Can I use it for upholstery?
Yes, for residential upholstery. Every Riera cloth is 70% cotton, 30% linen and rated 25,000 Martindale.
Is it flame-rated?
Riera publishes no flammability certification. For a hotel or restaurant, ask me before you specify it.
Will colors match between orders?
Colors can vary slightly between dye lots. Order everything for one room together.
